Description
We provide Equine Assisted Services (EAS) to individuals with special needs. A legal diagnosis is required and a referral by a counselor, medical professional, social worker and/or therapist. We serve ages up to mid sixties. We serve seven public schools through therapeutic riding (elementary spec ed) and/or working with counselors (elementary and high school) in trauma informed small groups, groups and individuals.
Accomplishments:
07-07-2021: We received a $25,000 grant from the "Christopher and Dana Reeves" Direct Effect of Quality of Life Program.
05-31-2023: We completed a twelve month pilot project "Trauma Informed Small Groups" with the State Department of Education Climate Control.
Volunteers have the opportunity to enjoy country life while helping others through Equine Assisted Services. Give back to our community, obtain a corporate volunteer day or needed educational hours (including higher education: observation, field site opportunity, internships, research, etc.) or simply giving your time and talents to help others.
