MAP Photo

We are looking for a compassionate, highly-motivated, organized, intuitive Art Teacher with a passion for working with young people from underrepresented communities. We expect to have 10-20 students enrolled in this program and it will take place in person on the designated shelter (to be determined). You will meet with young people regularly at an after-school schedule to create art, while listening, advising, connecting with them. We want to work with you, even if you have little to no previous experience, but can demonstrate a commitment to issues of social justice and anti-racism.

We are Mentor a Promise, Inc., a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to work with students that reside in NYC shelters and provide supportive services. All services are rooted in our philosophy of supporting students in their educational journey and help them identify their career path.
