Role Overview:

As the Fundraising Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting Albatross Aviary's mission by leading our fundraising initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to secure financial resources that will directly impact the well-being and care of our bird residents. Your dedication and creativity will help us sustain and expand our programs, ensuring a brighter future for the birds in our sanctuary.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to meet the organization's financial goals and support ongoing operations.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and community organizations to secure financial support.
  • Create and implement diverse fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, online crowdfunding, events, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging fundraising materials, including donation appeals, impact stories, and newsletters.
  • Utilize various fundraising platforms and social media channels to raise awareness and engage with potential donors.
  • Organize and coordinate fundraising events, such as bird adoption fairs, bird-themed workshops, and community outreach programs.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and provide regular reports on fundraising progress to the organization's leadership.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in fundraising to ensure the implementation of effective strategies.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in fundraising, development, or a related field, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, strategies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with donors and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in cultivating donor relationships and securing financial support.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative fundraising campaigns.
  • Familiarity with online fundraising platforms, social media channels, and donor management systems.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for bird welfare, conservation, and a genuine interest in the mission of Albatross Aviary.
