Position Summary
Many people do not have enough support to live a healthy life in recovery from substance use disorders. Take action by offering your time and talent as a Recovery Navigator. As someone who knows what it’s like to build a healthy life in recovery, you can help others do the same through mentoring, peer support and resource navigation.
We are currently recruiting for the 2023-24 program year with opportunities beginning in August, October or January. This is an AmeriCorps member position with Recovery Corps. You’ll join an amazing cohort of Recovery Navigators from all backgrounds and experiences.
What to Expect- Support individuals in recovery from substance use disorder with personalized recovery plans.
- Assist clients in navigating social services resources, programs, and benefit systems.
- Foster strong relationships with clients to help build their confidence and skills, while encouraging them to have agency over their own recovery.
- Gain valuable professional experience while embedded in a local recovery organization.
- Participate in training and professional development throughout the year, including the Peer Recovery Support training.
- Complete the requirements for Peer Recovery Support Specialist certification.
- Share your experience with the wider community as a Recovery Corps ambassador.

- 40 or 25 hours per week.
