Attention volunteers 55 years and older:
Whether it's a family member, a colleague, or a friend; Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and neurological disease has impacted all of us. One way to combat the debilitating symptoms of these diseases is by exercising and stimulating the brain.
A non-contact boxing gym in Ventura is seeking out volunteers in a variety of roles to assist their mission of fighting back against neurological diseases.
If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity that will get you moving, feeling good, and helping folks work out to improve their health, you have found it. Looking for volunteers who are willing to assist with workouts and provide alternative/slower-paced movements for those who need it.
Also seeking physical or occupational therapists, neurologists, and movement disorder specialists to assist with physical and medical history assessments.
There is a strong and supportive community awaiting volunteers who are willing to join the fight. If you are interested in learning more about the organization and the volunteering efforts that go along with it, please feel free to reach out. rsvp@oxnard.org.
