Volunteer with us at Food Club!
Our Food Club offers a membership-based grocery store experience that allows our guests to choose the fresh, healthy foods that their family loves. In other communities, food is either free at a pantry or full price at the grocery store. Our innovative approach at the Food Club fills that gaping hole in the middle and builds community in the process.
Food Club is all about providing access to fresh, healthy foods in a friendly and clean grocery-store environment. Tasks at the Food Club include checking produce, organizing shelves, sorting rescued food, working the checkout station, stocking the freezer, stocking food and preparing healthy at home meal kits.
We are specifically seeking volunteers in the following positions, during the following times:Checkout volunteers (*training provided!) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Produce checkers on Saturdays from 10am-12pm and 12-2pm

Description
Community Action House is a non-profit organization committed to nourish, equip and empower community members in the greater Holland, Michigan and surrounding Ottawa County area. For nearly 50 years, we've been serving the community helping families prosper- with food, clothing, education, opportunity, and hope. As a community powered nonprofit, we are what our community chooses to do together!
You can volunteer at our Food Club, helping local families achieve food security, at our Community Kitchen, serving up warm food and friendly faces everyday of the week, at our Resale Store, refurbishing used items to find new homes and support our programs, with our Lakeshore Food Rescue program, turning excess food into food access, or at the Holland Community Garden, working to grow food that goes directly to our neighbors.
