Capital City Hospice values service, honesty, compassion, accountability, and leadership. As a leading hospice organization in Central Ohio, we are able to make a tremendous difference in our community by providing exceptional end of life care, bereavement support, and community education. Our volunteers are some of our most invaluable team members and work in such creative ways to bring comfort, joy, and closure to patients and their loved ones.
Responsibilities
We are excited to bring more creativity to the work we do as an organization. The ideal volunteer(s) in this role would be proficient writers, who can help patients and/or their families with legacy projects that focus on written word. Some examples may include: a grandparent writing a letter to their grandchild to be given at their college graduation, a former ballet teacher that wants to capture teaching stories to share with their former students, or a patient coming to terms with mortality and looking to poetry as a coping outlet.
Qualifications
Proficient writing skills, high-quality interpersonal skills, accountability, helper.
*All volunteers are required to pass BCI, drug screen and TB test - all covered by Capital City Hospice.
