5 people are interested
Our museum is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10 to 5 with self-guided audio tours or docent-led tours upon request. The museum is seeking volunteers who have a strong interest in history and particularly the history of St. Augustine, a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, an appreciation for and eagerness to assist our guests and a good team player.
Participation would include various tasks including greeting guests, explaining the museum, and selling tour tickets, assisting in the gift shop, and helping guests find interesting and appropriate items, assisting in care of the museum, artifacts and grounds, and other tasks related to our many and varied events and activities throughout the year. We also participate in First Friday Art Walk opening our courtyard to local artists, authors, and artisans. Volunteers would work once a month on the First Friday from 5pm to 9pm to help in our gift shop and greet visitors.
Our strongest need is for a commitment to a minimum of 5 hours, on Saturdays. Shorter hours can be considered. The Museum Director will sign forms for Community Service for any who are interested.
A Welcome Incentive for all Volunteers is Free Parking for the day in our Museum Parking lot, just behind the museum. Other incentive levels are available based on service hours.
