Join us this summer in supporting Special Olympics Oregon athletes to compete in track & field events this summer at the Hermiston Regional Athletics competition. Volunteer positions include timers, runners, field support, escorts, staging, results, awards, lunch distribution. No experience, no problem! We will train you when you arrive at the event :) Come support our athletes in the following roles:
- Timers: Record athlete times for track events.
- Runners: Bring times/scores to awards tents between events.
- Field Support: Assist with field events (measuring & officiating jumps & throws).
- Escorts: Walking athletes to awards upon completion of an event.
- Staging: Checking in athletes & walking athletes to starting positions.
Results: Receive & record athlete results.

Description
Special Olympics Oregon provides year-round opportunities for children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities to participate in sports training and competition. All Special Olympics coaches, assistant coaches and management members are volunteers.
