GEAR Recovery is seeking volunteers, youth and adults who want to assist in Getting the GEARS Turnin' for our support groups, The WAYE after school program, GEAR'ed Up for Wellness Summer Program, monthly clean-ups, and events. Volunteers will have the opportunity to engage with the community, various community leaders and organizations, become REVIVE! NARCAN (DBHDS) Opioid overdose prevention/awareness trained, trauma-informed, CPR & First aid certified, Food handler certified, and participate in mindfulness meditation and trauma sensitive yoga.

Description

We offer support and resources to communities facing adversity through mental health and substance use concerns. Our goals are to advocate and be a voice for those experiencing these misfortunes to allow them to live better, productive lives, increasing quality of life and decreasing crimes and issues related to untreated mental health disorders. We will be offering a physical & mental wellness end of summer program "GEAR’ED up for Wellness" summer 2023. Our future goals are to provide therapeutic services to those in need and mental health training services to professionals and families.
