Volunteer with your dog and bring connection, joy and companionship to a patient's life as well as their caregiver.
Pet Therapy provides:- comfort
- unconditional love
- improved mood
- reduces anxiety
- raises spirits
- reduced physical pain
- lower blood pressure
Your dog will need to be "Canine Good Citizen" certified and we provide resources for testing.
No experience is required, just a willing and compassionate heart. Time commitment would be 1-2 hours per month, or more if you are available. These hours count towards volunteer requirements for educational or legal purposes.

Description
Compassionate Hospice Care is looking for dedicated volunteers who desire to provide companionship and comfort to those receiving hospice care and offer tangible support to those caring for them.
No experience is necessary. Volunteers are provided with an interesting and practical orientation. Essential characteristics of an effective volunteer include compassion, dependability, trustworthiness, patience and flexibility.
If you have recently experienced the death of a loved one, you may serve administratively in our office but need to wait 13 months post your loss to serve as a companion to patients.
