The Catholic Multicultural Center located in Madison, WI helps those in need of services with dignity and respect. Services provided include a Food Pantry, Food Pantry Garden, Personal essential pantry, and several other Educational, spiritual, and cultural activities.
As a Meal Program Volunteer, (in partnership with Hunger Free America - Americorps Senior Volunteer 55+ Program), you will volunteer in person. There are several opportunities available, from serving a meal, delivering to schools, helping in the food pantry, and supporting daily operations.
Helpful volunteer skills are the ability to work on your feet, sometimes lift boxes and work as part of a team. Hours can be flexible; however, the weekly minimum is 2 hours a week for Food Pantry and 2 hours monthly for Meal Program.
By joining our community of Senior Volunteers (55+) you gain access to our group events, trainings, events, volunteer recognition, community, monetary reimbursement, and an extensive list of volunteer opportunities that are remote or in-person across the U.S.

Mission Statement
HUNGER FREE AMERICA is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grassroots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food.
Description
HUNGER FREE AMERICA (formerly known as the New York City Coalition Against Hunger) is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grass-roots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food.
Our long-term goal is not just to ameliorate the problem, but also to build the people’s movement necessary to enact the economic and public policies needed to end hunger entirely. Given that hunger drains our economy and tears at our moral and civic fabric, we know that eliminating it will boost the nation both economically and spiritually. Towards that end, we’ve adopted the motto: "Ending hunger lifts us all."
