CITCA was founded to grow a national alliance among counselors nationwide to share resources and strengthen the counselor community relationship. Through this collaborative we increase access to mental health care, programs, and other resources to improve the quality of life for individuals from impoverished communities. We are seeking a highly motivated individuals to join our nonprofit board as a Counselor Board Member with the goal of growing our organization.

As a Board Member, you will work closely with other board members and staff to provide guidance and support in the development and implementation of mental health programs and resources that align with our mission. Benefits include gaining valuable leadership experience, networking opportunities, the ability to make a positive impact on an organization or cause, and the potential for personal and professional growth.

Ideal Candidate:

• Professional experience in counseling or health related field
• Interested in creating opportunities to help disadvantaged populations overcome poverty and poverty related issues.
• Passionate and committed to serving others
• Has the capacity (time, energy, grit, network, resources) to support growing a nonprofit.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise and guidance on the development and implementation of counseling services
• Collaborate with board members and staff to identify opportunities for grow and expansion our impact
• Participate in board meetings and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the organization
• Support fundraising efforts and represent the organization to external stakeholders
• Promote the organization's mission and values to the community

Requirements:

• Board experience or experience working with a board of directors
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think strategically and provide guidance on organizational development
• Commitment to the organization's mission and values
