Social Media Volunteer Role Description

We are looking for a creative social media volunteer to work with our marketing department. The social media volunteer is responsible for planning social media calendars, creating social media posts, and assisting the social media team with brainstorming campaigns.

To be successful as a social media volunteer you must have excellent knowledge of various social media platforms. A good social media volunteer combines creative campaign ideas with analytical skills to create successful posts.

The Social Media volunteer position has a minimum 6-month commitment with an expected 5-10 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the social media calendar
  • Brainstorming campaign ideas
  • Posting on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Analyzing analytics to gauge the success of campaigns

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms
  • Knowledge of analytical tools
  • Creative mindset
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a team
  • A degree in Communication or a related field
  • Knowledge of marketing and algorithms
  • Prior experience with marketing or social media
