Park Ambassador volunteers provide visibility and assistance in Three Rivers Parks and on regional trails. They are welcome to volunteer on foot, bike, cross country ski, in-line skate or horseback.
Main Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome park and trail users
- Provide accurate information about parks, trails and rules
- Document and report any maintenance needs and safety concerns
Commitment: 10 hours or 1 year volunteering. Ambassadors must complete an orientation and training.
Qualifications:
- strong communication skills
- able to volunteer independently
- able to communicate and interact with people of all ages, abilities and cultures
- ability to speak other languages a plus, but not required.

The mission of Three Rivers Park District is to promote environmental stewardship through recreation and education in a natural resources-based park system.
Description
Volunteers help to make the Park District a fun, safe, educational environment for people of all ages, interests and abilities. Volunteers may be involved with nature, cultural history, recreation and farm programs; site enhancement; events; golf course; public safety; and, natural resources management.
