The Volunteer Research Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization's research efforts by assisting in the design and implementation of research studies, collecting and analyzing data, and disseminating research findings. The Volunteer Research Specialist will work closely with program staff and external partners to design and implement research studies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research, with experience designing and conducting research studies preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and implementation of the organization's research agenda, including the design and execution of research studies.
Collaborate with program staff to ensure that research aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
Assist in the dissemination of research findings through reports, presentations, and other channels.
Attend meetings, and other functions as needed to represent the organization and advance research goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
1 year of experience in research, with experience conducting literature reviews and extracting data. Experience designing methodologies and working with volunteers is preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
