ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's Association

Image_202211101119

The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 21,
thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness
of Alzheimer’s through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity
and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of
the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Committee Co-Chair assists the Committee Chair in recruiting and training the Volunteer
Committee, with a special focus on hosting the Volunteer Launch Party and Volunteer Committee
Orientation. They establish relationships with the subcommittee chairs, set committee meeting dates
and locations, and maintain regular communication with the Committee Chair and subcommittee chairs.
The Committee Chair and Committee Co-Chair should be passionate about the work of the Alzheimer’s
Association and the mission of The Longest Day, possess strong networking and communication skills
and have the ability to inspire and motivate others.
