The subcommittee is responsible for: Executing the engagement plan to recruit and retain participants. Making personal contact with potential and past participants to encourage early registration. Planning and hosting the Participant Kickoff Party. The Recruitment Chair and Recruitment Subcommittee should be well-connected in their community or industry and persuasive in getting others to join the cause.

Turn your passion for pickleball into purpose by joining the fight to ENDALZ! You can show your love, passion and commitment to the fight to ENDALZ by joining us for The Longest Day 2024 season and hosting your own pickleball related fundraiser. Whether you plan a tournament, social game, clinic, or volley challenge, we can guide you to success. Participants plan their own events so you can do anything, anywhere, anytime from September 1 to August 31 each year. Although this is a DIY event, we are here to support you every step of the way. We'll provide resources to help you succeed including a t-shirt, access to online fundraising tools, and local support. Regardless of when your event takes place, we ask all participants to unite online on The Longest Day, the summer solstice, by sharing their stories and event pictures to honor their loved ones! Your efforts will help fuel the care & support, advocacy and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. This is a critical time in our fight and any help you can lend to the cause is important. Together we can outshine the darkness of Alzheimer's. Ambassadors are also needed to help spread the word about The Longest Day to other pickleball enthusiasts, and clubs across Oklahoma. The Coaching Subcommittee will be in charge of meeting, coaching and recognizing current participants in The Longest Day to help them reach fundraising benchmarks. The subcommittee is responsible for: Executing the engagement plan to welcome, thank and touch base with participants. Offering assistance to participants who might need help reaching their fundraising or recruitment goals. Leading efforts to recognize participants when they hit fundraising milestones, including the Celebration Party. The Coaching Chair and Coaching Subcommittee should be comfortable speaking with people, sharing advice and helping to motivate participants.

The Community Outreach Subcommittee is tasked with raising awareness of The Longest Day and Alzheimer’s disease by engaging with community members. The subcommittee is responsible for: Building public awareness of The Longest Day through local media outlets and social media. Delivering promotional materials to local businesses and community hubs. Finding creative grassroots marketing opportunities. The Community Outreach Chair and Community Outreach Subcommittee should have a strong knowledge of local media outlets, excellent oral and written communication and a creative approach to marketing.
