At Legacy Hospice, we are firm believers that our patients and their families come first to provide excellent care during this transitional period of time in life’s journey.
We are currently seeking for Spanish Speaking volunteers to provide companionship through visits with our patients. These visits will be one on one with patients that may engage in activities but not limited to: being a comforting and supportive presence, reminiscing life events, reading a story, playing music or singing, creating art projects, listening to patient’s concerns, and communicating the needs of the patient/family to hospice staff.
We serve patients and their families throughout the Milwaukee, Waukesha, Jefferson, Dodge, Walworth, Racine, Kenosha county and surrounding areas. We are able to provide a flexible schedule dependent on the volunteers availability and proximity of available locations.

We support our patients through their journey. We hold their hand and provide exceptional care along the way. We give each patient the love and compassion we would give our own family member and loved one.
The company was started after we put our heads together and realized we had to find a better way to provide Hospice care. One of our biggest frustrations is the "corporate environment", in which hospice companies take care of patients. Everyone started to become a "cookie cutter" type of patient, whose care did not get the individual treatment and unique management that we believed was required to achieve the best care possible. At Legacy Hospice we recognize the unique legacy that each individual person has and how it is so intertwined with who that person is and who their families are. We never take this information for granted and we labor to position ourselves as an integral part of the patient’s family that gives support and insight to the true essence of who the patient is and how he or she wants to journey towards the end of life. We at Legacy Hospice ask ourselves daily, just how we would take care of our own family, and make sure we translate this idealism to our entire staff and support a culture of true care and compassion that would stand against the rigors of healthcare services today.
