Our organization has operated for 17 years, serving a hot meal to those in need on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Chefs are needed to supervise the meal preparation. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A PROFESSIONAL CHEF. All ingredients are provided as well as kitchen help. The time of start for prepping the meal is determined by the chef. This does not need to be a weekly committment. Your availability determines how often you can help us. It is always your choice.
At this time masking is up to the individual volunteer member but we do provide gloves for food handling. We also limit the number of people in the kitchen during food prep and serving.

About Soup Angels

Location:

PO BOX 565, NYACK, NY 10960, US

Mission Statement

Soup Angels provides free, nutritious, homemade meals to anyone who is hungry, no questions asked. Among our guests are elderly persons seeking a meal and companionship, the working poor and their families, and those who are homeless. An all-volunteer, non-denominational group of service-minded individuals, Soup Angels operates under the auspices of First Reformed Church and depends on the support of our community.

Description

Soup Angels is in its 14th year of offering healthy, home cooked (at the church) meals to anyone who need s meal. No questions asked.
During this Covid pandemic, we continue to served Monday and Wednesday evenings from 4.30 to 6.30 pm. Our bounty table , full of groceries, has been very successful.
As the strains of our current economy take their toll on working families, the elderly, teens, veterans, the disabled and recent immigrants in our Nyack community, Soup Angels will continue to feed our community.
