Overview of Position: Help carry out the monthly Poz Café luncheon by taking on specific duties including moving heavy items including boxes of supplies and ice chests.

Benefits to the Volunteer: The opportunity to work directly with CarePartners and members of various groups and faith communities in a warm, caring, and accepting atmosphere.

Specific Tasks:

1. Assisting with picking up, moving, setting up, and taking down supplies for CarePackages as well as ice chests used for storing take-home meals.
2. This task requires the volunteer to be in good physical condition, the stamina to stand and work for up to five hours outdoors during the day (including during the summer).

Qualifications/Experience:

Required: Must be 18 years or older. Good people/communication skills. Comfortable interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. Ability to consistently follow instructions in a fast-paced environment. Abillity to lift up to 50 lbs and stamina to work outdoors for extended periods of time.

Preferred: Experience in the dining and/or catering industry. Ability to lead a small group of volunteers from diverse backgrounds with a friendly and patient disposition. Experience working with people living with HIV/AIDS.
