Tasks:

• Mentor interns to teach basic marketing skills and foster a creative environment

• Coordinate with social media and marketing departments to contribute to the overall marketing strategy
• Create weekly and monthly publishing schedule for marketing tasks that interns will be working from
• Ensure that all interns learn and understand the training with email systems and more
• 4 hours of supervision a week

Job Description:

Volunteers will oversee and mentor interns in the marketing department. They will ensure that the interns learn and understand all marketing tasks and concepts. Volunteers will mentor interns to ensure they grow professionally and personally. The volunteer will collaborate will marketing department to plan and coordinate marketing tasks.

Skills to cover in training:

• Content creation- how to create email templates that engage the customer and graphics that catch their attention
• Persuasive writing- how to write readable and engaging emails, how to create a call to action that gets the customer to buy now

• Data analysis- how to identify key touchpoints (customer interactions with brand over the course of buyer journey)
• Help evaluate customer needs, drive sales, and promote brand to learn more effective business practice
• Critical thinking- how to come up with ideas to increase open rates and click through rates
• Come up with ideas to grow subscriber list
• Experience with MailChimp, Microsoft Excel
