Are you a Veteran looking to make a difference with other Vets? At New Century Hospice we are looking for Veterans to visit with our patients who are Veterans.
On a personal level here is why it is so important to me that we have Veteran Volunteers; as a non - Veteran myself, I have seen first hand the connection and understanding Vet to Vet encounters can have. My goal is to provide this same opportunity for our patients who are Vets or even their loved ones who are Vets.
Our Volunteers:
- Do not need to be COVID Vaccinated. You do need to go through our company's religious or health exemption process.
- Decide when they want to have orientation. We schedule it around their schedule.
- Only need 2 hours a month!
- Volunteer when and where they want to volunteer
- Are "friendly visitors" and do not provide any medical care.
- Do a lot of sitting and visiting with our patients and sometimes families.
- Do not need any previous volunteer experience.
Our patients are all over the Austin area and the immediate Central Texas area.
If you are interested: please contact me, Katrina Wilson at either kawilson@newcenturyhospice.com or 512-342-8288. :)
I look forward to hearing from you!
