Video Production Team Lead:
Have you ever wanted to do something AMAZING to change the world but didn't know where to start?
Here is an opportunity to help underprivileged children, to help under-served children, to help ALL children displaced from school due to COVID-19, and even to help many adults who can't read.
We are looking for three, very special people, who have the skills, expertise, experience, passion, and time to be part of something amazing that is already fundamentally changing the lives of children across the country and around the world and that with your help will reach millions more in the next few short years.
Right now, millions of children have no hope; but soon, they will have the opportunity to learn how to read, which, in turn, will open a window to education and to a world of potential for them that, not only, has never been opened before, but that has never even been seriously contemplated as a potential reality.
What we are talking about is an adaptive learning, gamified smartphone app, called FUNetix, that can literally, teach a child how to read, in the comfort of their home, in an average of just 12 hours of total use time!
We are the American Youth Literacy Foundation, an all volunteer organization comprised of a rotating talent pool of hundreds of incredibly talented professionals and interns alike; and we have been teaching children how to read for more than 13 years! We started as a tutoring organization in 2008, and throughout 2020 we created an app, based on our patented reading curriculum, that takes kids from the ABC's to a 2nd grade reading level through an amazing journey that's fully narrated and tastefully animated, and gamified just enough to create an immersive, interactive environment that captures kids' attention and imagination and launches them to literacy in a fun and easy way.
The app is now available in the App Store and on Google Play and in the Amazon Kindle App Store for 100% free download and use. There are no gimmicks, no user id or login to complete. The app is designed for every family to download and use absolutely free with not strings attached.
That's because our mission at the American Youth Literacy Foundation is to ensure that EVERY child in America learns how to read before they finish 3rd grade! We have been working on this mission for 13 years and I, personally, have been working on it since 2003, when my own son, then 8 years old, couldn't read a sentence, despite having been in good schools and despite having received numerous hours of professional support from school reading specialists. It's a long story that you can find on our website at www.FUNetix.org.
Right now we are looking to expand our incredible Team FUNetix with skilled and compassionate videographers, video students, video specialists, editing specialists and creative contributors who will take video highlights from many of our students in our ongoing clinical research who are working through the app on film and learning how to read in 12 hours.
It's amazing to watch the pride and joy that fills the faces of children when they finally "get it," and make that breakthrough to reading understanding. But there are millions of children who are still struggling to learn how to read, many completely incapable of reading, many who have given up on reading and are destined to go through life either completely illiterate, or with semi-literate skills at best without our help and intervention. And now with the displacement of tens of millions of children from school throughout 2020 and continuing in many school districts for an indeterminate amount of time, the loss of reading capacity and learning of the next generation presents a new, crisis moment in American education, and a very real threat to the future success of millions of young children.
So if this sounds like something that you have the time for and interest in; and if you have strong video production skills and creative skills and want to help us share this incredible app with the world through a variety of media channels including our website, social media, online advertising and more, then please reply to this listing and let's talk.
There's much more to tell. You can read more about our story and about us on our website at www.FUNetix.org, or just search FUNetix on the web.
We are looking for intelligent, creative, outgoing, enthusiastic, cheerful, optimistic individuals with significant experience, to include undergrad or graduate work, and a willingness to dedicate 5+ hours a week to tell the world about FUNetix through video. We are looking for highly proficient and organized professionals and future professionals.
Just to be clear, our organization is an all volunteer, mission-centric, extended virtual network, comprised of highly skilled and experienced individuals from around the country (and a few from around the world) who collaborate through cloud-based technology and platforms. Individuals interested in this position must have the confidence and ability to work in a virtual environment using select networking and communications tools and platforms.
Thank you! We hope this opportunity finds you at the right place and the right time in your career to make a difference and an impact, in an amazing way, for millions of children who are waiting for someone, or some thing, to lead them out of a life of impoverishment and into a future of unlimited possibility and potential.
We look forward to hearing from you and speaking with you about the future of literacy in America.

Description
FUNetix is a patented, science-based, and incredibly simplified way of teaching reading to children that's available to parents and children anywhere in the United States and anywhere in the world. The FUNetix 12 hours Reading App is available in the App Store, Google Play store and Amazon App store.
FUNetix is 19-years-new, but in some ways, it is more than 2,000 years old.
Indeed, the patented FUNetix Reading Decoding System is rooted in an ancient methodology that shows readers how to see the hidden sounds in every word.
FUNetix earned its patent by borrowing the time-tested method called "diacritics" (which was developed more than 2,000 years ago by the Greeks, and adopted more than 1,000 years ago by the Hebrew and Arabic languages, to teach ALL children how to read those languages), and uniquely, completely and systematically applying it to English in a child-friendly and simple way.
FUNetix teaches children how to "map" or "marry" all 44 sounds of the English language to the letters and letter combinations that make up English words. This mapping (made easy by diacritics) takes all of the guesswork out of "sounding out" words.
