ORGANIZATION: Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston

  • 1 person is interested

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sister’s (JBBBS) Friend 2 Friend Adults with Disabilities Program matches volunteer friends 1:1 with adults with mild to moderate disabilities. JBBBS is seeking a male friend (ages 27-40) for James, a 29-year-old man with disabilities living in Cambridge. James is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He enjoys watching movies, attending sporting events, trying new things, eating sushi, and listening to music, and would love a friend who shares an interest in these activities too. He describes himself as a "a big happy ball of energy" and likes to make people around him laugh and smile. His loved ones describe him as empathetic, kind, and thoughtful. James can take the red or green lines on the MBTA and is comfortable taking the train independently to places he’s already been. Friends create their own matches and agree to meet 1x/mo and make at least a year commitment. Volunteers from all religions, ethnicities, and backgrounds welcome. Match support provided by Clinical Match Specialists. For any questions: Tania@jbbbs.org
