Communications

The Greater Nashua Squadron of New Hampshire Wing, Civil Air Patrol is looking for people interested in radio communications to donate their time as a part of the all-volunteer Auxiliary of the United States Air Force.

Our nationwide, point-to-point radio communications network is used on both an operational and emergency basis to support CAP operations and the State of New Hampshire. Radio communicators employ both short-range VHF and longer-range VHF communications to accomplish the missions of CAP each week around the Granite State. Training for radio operators is available,

Becoming a fully trained and skilled CAP radio operator for emergency response requires in-depth training in CAP emergency operations, frequent participation in state, region & national radio nets, and participation in occasional weekend exercises.

If you’re up for the task, CAP offers ordinary citizens unique training and service opportunities in your local community.

The Greater Nashua Squadron meets each Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Gate City School for the Arts (7 Henry Clay Dr, Nashua). Visit our unit website at https://www.nashuacap.org/.

Qualifications:

  • An interest in radio communication (amateur and commercial radio operators welcome!);
  • An interest in community service;
  • Great people & communication skills;
  • Age 21 or older;
  • Able to pass a background check.

We invite you to visit a weekly squadron meeting. You'll get a chance to meet some of our members who will discuss the organization, provide you with information and answer any questions you might have about the Civil Air Patrol.
