Our Disaster Health Services team plays a key role in providing assistance to individuals in our Northern Nevada community who have been affected by home fire or another disaster. DHS Team Members provide direct assistance to people affected by disaster and vital insight to our disaster team in the care of individuals who may have particular medical needs. And, with the same training, you can deploy around the country to provide Health Services assistance to individuals impacted by large-scale disasters. All Red Cross training is provided, we are providing disaster assistance virtually due to COVID, and the time commitment is flexible. We'd love to have you join our team!
Key responsibilities:
- Participation in Northern Nevada Chapter disaster preparedness activities
- Support to the Disaster Action Team response, shelter operations, emergency aid stations, outreach activities, and health-related casework and recovery planning during a disaster relief operation
