Training takes place on-the-job. Sign up for a shift and a staff member or experienced volunteer will be assigned to train you.
Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a vet tech? Get an insider's look and become part of an amazing team when you volunteer for SNCA! Spay/Neuter Clinic Assistants are responsible for a wide variety of tasks that make the vet techs' jobs easier, including:- Stocking to-go-home meds
- Cleaning E.T. tubes (tubes used for intubation)
- Prepping surgery pack materials
- Recovery (monitoring dogs or cats post-surgery)
- Sanitizing/resetting kennels at end of day
Volunteers in this role must:
- Be very detail-oriented and organized
- Be able to complete work promptly
- Work well independently AND as part of a team
- Be able to take basic direction from staff, and work independently
2 Shifts
- 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM CST
- 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM CST

Description
Pet Resource Center of Kansas City is a 501c3 non-profit organization formed in 2002. We're the only targeted spay neuter program in the Greater Kansas City area, working to help all families in need regardless of financial means. Our unique approach provides exceptional customer service and high standards of care through commitment to our core values.
We educate and assist families to improve their pet's quality of life, increase the animal-human-bond and make long term positive impacts in our community and animal welfare.
We pride ourselves in acknowledging our diverse community with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach. Our programs target families who need assistance with education, wellness, and resources to help their pets live a long, healthy and happy life.
