Wish of a Lifetime is seeking eager volunteers to serve senior communities who are experiencing isolation. Wish of a Lifetime is a Denver-based non-profit that fulfills life-enriching Wishes for deserving older adults. Our mission is to shift the way society views and values our oldest generations by fulfilling seniors’ dreams and sharing their stories to inspire those of all ages.

Current circumstances prevent us from granting wishes in our usual capacity, but we continue to prioritize initiatives that promote wellness for senior communities. We have developed a volunteer program with the goal of contributing to the collective wellness of senior communities. Committed volunteers are an integral part of this strategy to build meaningful relationships. Our volunteers support senior communities in several unique ways:

• Pen Pal program: volunteers are matched with a senior to exchange letters or postcards
• Companionship Call program: volunteers are matched with a senior to exchange phone calls
• Zoom calls and other virtual opportunities: We are able to customize volunteer opportunities for groups looking to engage with communities

At the start of their engagement, volunteers receive instructions and recommendations for writing letters and making phone calls. All of our opportunities can be completed remotely.
