Make friendly, compassionate visits to hospice patients and become an important member of the team at Good Shepherd Community Care. Our award-winning hospice offers thorough training and ongoing support to our volunteers. You can help improve our patients' end of life experiences. Our office is in Newton, but our patients reside across the greater Boston area. For information, please contact Chris Resmini, Volunteer Coordinator, at cresmini@gscommunitycare.org.

Specialized volunteers welcome: Certified Massage, Reiki & Pet Therapists, Volunteers who are veterans.
Volunteers who speak all languages appreciated. We are in special need of Cantonese, Spanish and Russian speakers. Also Italian, French, Turkish, Portuguese, Korean, German, Vietnamese, and other languages.
Volunteers interested in visiting our pediatric palliative care program patients are very welcome!

Description
As one of the first hospices in the country, and the first in Massachusetts, we have been here - offering coordinated, professional community care since 1978. Good Shepherd is proud to offer a range of programs including Hospice, Pediatric Palliative Care and Community Palliative Care. Within our hospice program, we have specially trained professionals and volunteers in several multicultural programs: Caminos de Paz Latino Hospice Program, Krug Zaboty Russian Hospice Program, and 牧 愛 社 區 服 務, Chinese Hospice Program. We are LGBTQ-inclusive, are a Level 4 member of the We Honor Veterans Program, and are accredited by the National Institute for Jewish Hospice.
