Purpose : DemocracyLab is optimizing the connection between socially-minded individuals and tech-for-good projects.

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager, to help develop and launch DemocracyLab's product development strategy in-line with its mission and vision. Much like an early-stage startup, there is an emphasis on building process infrastructure for the organization's long-term growth plans. We are a group of volunteer self-starters working autonomously at our own time, and our own pace and are looking for similar candidates that share our passion for DemocracyLab's vision and mission.

Position Title : Product Manager

Key Responsibilities :

• Prioritize features on roadmap and align product needs with our objectives to deliver a magical experience for volunteers, project owners, and corporations
• Lead the product from concept through research, specification, implementation, and analysis
• Work closely with dedicated user research, design, and engineering teams as you build and iterate on the product
• Gather data analytics and continuous feedback from our operations to evolve the product and to ensure original objectives were met

Education or Experience Preferred : 3-5 years of professional experience as a product manager.

Length of Appointment : We request that a volunteer be comfortable committing a minimum of 3 months to this position.

Time Commitment : We request that a volunteer be willing to commit a minimum of 5 hours per week to this position. We also request that volunteers attend our weekly meetings or communicate/update the Product Team Lead weekly.

Reports To : Product Team Lead for DemocracyLab

Communication: DemocracyLab uses Slack as its primary form of communication. Files will be stored and shared using Google Drive.
