Polk County Fire Rescue's Reserves are looking for volunteer firefighters for the protection of life and property through firefighting and rescue operations not involved with Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health environment. Volunteer firefighters will respond to fire alarms, emergencies, and special details. Additionally, volunteer firefighters may occasionally be assigned to operate or drive a fire engine.
Applicants must pass the CPAT and Polk County Fire Rescue medical physical.
Polk County Fire Rescue provides Advanced Life Support transport to all residents and visitors of Polk County. It also provides fire suppression, rescue services and fire prevention services to all of unincorporated Polk County and the municipalities of Eagle Lake, Polk City, Mulberry, Lake Hamilton and Hillcrest Heights.
