At TIHAN, we offer our hearts and hands to provide compassionate and nonjudgmental service to those affected by HIV/AIDS. Through education and support, we- as individuals and faith communities-work to build bridges, reduce stigma, and sustain hope through education, advocacy and service. By bringing together religious, secular, corporate and non-profit groups, TIHAN is creating an inclusive and affirming support network for and with people living with HIV.
Does your faith community have a person who serves as the liaison between TIHAN and your congregation? If not, are you you interested in helping? A faith community liaison serves as our point person for sending periodic announcements to submit for your bulletin/newsletter. The liaison also attend our faith community liaison meetings (held four times per year). The liaison keeps TIHAN informed about happenings at your faith community, and also keeps the congregation informed about TIHAN. Attending our TIHAN volunteer orientation is encouraged, but not required. Please join us and help us expand the circle and become more inclusive and helpful.
