This is open to ALL!
Great for retirees and veterans!

We need someone who is willing to help our museum from Tues. to Thurs. with different jobs and projects. This job is for those who have a semi-skilled knowledge of all trades or even just one such as minor or major mechanical work, welding, engineering, and auto maintenance. This is for those who have a passion for working and restoring old vehicles.

Samples of projects include:

  • 1942 WWII Jeep Restoration ProjectWe got this jeep looking beautiful on the outside and inside now and it completely runs.It just needs some minor mechanical work and cosmetic work to be finished for display.
  • Other projects include pulling other vehicles from display for mechanical work or to be repainted such as our M16 half-track tank that is in the process of being repainted. A job like this includes a lot of sanding, wire brushing, etc. to prep the vehicle for primer and fresh new paint.
  • We also pull some vehicles from display for film companies who rent them for commercials / video / movies / YouTube / etc.
This job is for someone who likes to work with others and mentor those who are willing to learn about automotive mechanics. Volunteers with past shop experience and skills with power tools and safety is what we are looking for. This is great side-work if you are retired or looking to pick up a hobby during your free time. It is well worth it to see the progress that comes from hard work on all these historical vehicles.
