Lend a loving ear and your compassionate heart to celebrate and preserve someone's life legacy.

Since volunteers started hospice care centuries ago, volunteers play an extremely valuable role on our hospice service caregiving team. A few simple ways you can assist our patients and their families and make a HUGE difference include:

Emotional support:
Offer comfort and support to family members who are caring for their loved ones. Listen to the patient and/or their caregivers share their life stories and favorite memories. Write down their memories or record them to preserve their legacy and to share with their loved ones

Write greeting cards and/or make phone calls to let them know you are thinking about them, especially during times when visiting in person is not possible.

Administrative:
Assist with clerical and operational tasks in our office (when social distancing is lifted).

Marketing, Community Events, and Special Occasions:
Assist with special events and marketing projects, e.g. pet therapy, staff health fair and community event table, help with building brand awareness and fundraisers, help with marketing projects, craft, sew, bake, etc.

Bereavement:
Provide emotional support by calling and sending cards to survivors following the death of their loved one.

Professional:
Provide professional services. e.g. therapeutic massage, essential oil therapy, acupuncture, acupressure, skilled nursing, cosmetology services, counseling and other services.

Eleventh Hour:
Sit with patients and caregivers to provide support during a patient's final hours

Description

JOL Healthcare, Inc. is a female founded, privately owned, and locally operated home health and hospice company headquartered in central Texas.
Founded in 2013 on "a hope and a prayer" and an unwavering belief that families deserved better, occupational therapist, president & CEO, Sarah Files assembled a team of leaders, clinicians & staff that shared in that vision. Now an established and quickly growing health care company, we haven’t lost our start up spirit, and we’re proud of that.
Our 5 Core Values: Honesty, Integrity, Passion, Compassion and Collaboration are what guide us on our mission to touch 1,000,000,000 lives through home health and hospice. We carry out this mission by drawing on our exceptional strengths as a Cohesive Team, offering Comprehensive Care, and Concierge Communication.
But, enough about us.
United in vision and values, we understand that our greatest strength is our team.
We value each member of TEAM JOL and know that without YOU, there is no TEAM JOL and that we are unable to provide services. We strive to recruit and retain the very best professionals in the industry and continue to both develop and support work-life integration, because we know that cared-for people provide better care.
