Each adoption/foster application that GRRAND receives is screened by one of our volunteers. The application screening volunteer will assess the application to determine if the family meets GRRAND adoption requirements. The volunteer will also contact the 3 references to determine the care the family provides to current or previous pets. Finally, the volunteer will contact the applicant's vet to assess previous vet care. Once the volunteer reviews the application, they will send the information obtained to the volunteer coordinator.
The application screening activity can all be done from home. Once the volunteer accepts an application to screen, we ask that it is completed as soon as possible in order to prevent losing the applicant to another rescue.
A short training session is required in order to learn GRRAND's adoption/foster requirements. For more information, visit http://grrand.org/adoption-application/
