Bring a smile to someone who could really use a day brightener by bringing in your Pet Therapy dog for a visit! Some furry friends are needed at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute’s Transitional Rehabilitation Program (TRP)!! We provide intensive specialized neurological rehabilitation transitioning between acute care and return home or to another alternative community living setting. The TRP program provides holistic, comprehensive inpatient neurological rehabilitation services to adults recovering from neurological conditions caused by illness or injury.

Pet therapy visits offer a much needed diversion from the patient's routine and provides an enjoyable activity that is beneficial for both the patient and family members. Visiting Pet Therapy dogs can help to diminish the feeling of isolation and loneliness that so often accompanies being in an inpatient setting.

Join us on a weekday evening or a Saturday! It is best if you can commit to 1-4 hours each week or every other week.

Dogs must be certified through an established pet therapy program such as Pet Partners, Therapy Dogs International or Canine companions and be current on all vaccines. We prefer if you have had your dog for at least 1 year.
