Sign up to volunteer at a therapeutic horseback riding center!
To become a H.E.L.P. volunteer, we recommend that you first visit our facilities to learn about what it’s like to volunteer with us. A good time to visit is on Saturdays between 10:30-11:30am. Please contact us to schedule your visit. After chatting/visiting with us, and you’ve decided to join the H.E.L.P. Volunteer team, you'll then download and print the H.E.L.P. Volunteer Application and bring a completed copy with you to the next Volunteer Orientation.

Mission Statement
The mission of Horse Empowered Learning Programs (HELP) is to help those with physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges grow in strength and independence through personalized activities in partnership with the horse.
Description
Horse Empowered Learning Programs, Inc. (H.E.L.P.) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Since 1984, H.E.L.P. has served clients with physical and mental disabilities in the greater Austin area, offering Therapeutic Riding, Equine Assisted Learning (EAL), and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP).
We are excited about your interest in volunteering at H.E.L.P.! Volunteers are the backbone of any equestrian program for people with disabilities. Our clients cannot participate without the physical, emotional, and psychological support of our volunteers.
As a volunteer, you will be a part of a professional and dedicated team. We also have a lot of fun! Therapeutic riding brings feelings of boundless joy and accomplishment to everyone involved. The rewards for both you and our clients make volunteering efforts very worthwhile. We ask that you commit to volunteer at least 1 hour weekly for 3-6 months to ensure consistency for the riders and horses.
