- Registration (checking in participants)
- Working people of all ages including children
- Helping distribute and assist with crafts
- Being comfortable talking in front of people
- Assist with set up/tear down of event
- Help staff keep an eye on the safety and wellbeing of the participants
- If the job is a "trail sweep" being able to hike 2-3 miles and staying in the back of the group to make sure the group stays together
- Being adaptable to switch tasks as needed for the success of the program
- Being prepared for program conditions (if program is outside wearing appropriate gear/sunscreen/rainwear etc.)
- The park staff running the event will brief you on expectations before the program starts. No specific training should be needed unless otherwise specified in the volunteer request.

Stark Parks proudly manages 15 parks, 4 lakes, and over 120 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails, totaling over 8,000 acres of land.
