Join us to help address hunger in our community. The PNA Hot Meal Program serves 150-200 meals three times weekly.
Volunteers must be 15+ years old and work with a professional cook to help organize inventory, set up tables, prep & serve the meal, wash pots and more! The kitchen is a fast-paced and ever-changing environment - a real-life Iron Chef experience! Kitchen experience is not required, as long as volunteers come with an open mind about what kind of help is needed each day. First-time volunteers should arrive 20 minutes prior to shift start time to for an on-site orientation.
Shifts (generally):
Mondays in Greenwood from 2 to 7 pm (or 2 to 5 pm/4 to 7 pm)
Tuesdays in Phinney from 2 to 7 pm (or 2 to 5 pm/4 to 7 pm)
Wednesdays in Phinney from 9 am to 2 pm (or 9 am to noon/11 am to 2 pm)
As of November 2024, seeking volunteers to:
1) clean up on Mondays (5:45-6:45pm);
2) clean up on Wednesdays (1-2pm);
3) set up on Mondays (2-3pm) and
4) join our team of substitutes. Enjoy the flexibility of picking the shifts you want to work, and then get first dibs when a permanent spot opens up!
