Are you fun, energetic, have great ideas, and want to make an impact in your community?Well, then we have just the opportunity for you!

We're looking for three to five volunteers with fundraising experience, innovative, and fresh fundraising ideas to join our Fundraiser Committee. All Committee Members will assist the Board and Chief Executive Director with events and fundraising projects it has.

The ideal volunteers has at least a year fundraising experience, is dependable, and able to commit their time and talents to helping pulling off successful events.

H.O.P.E, Incorporated’s mission is to serve low-income single parents working to obtain a college degree by providing assistance in subsidized housing, childcare assistance, social services, and life skills training.

Description

H.O.P.E, Inc. (Helping Other People be Empowered) began in November 2009 as a passion and a focus of the CEO. As a former single parent who struggled to complete her B.B.A and M.B.A, she noticed that there was not much support for single parents trying to finish their education. Our mission is serving low-income single parents working to obtain a college degree by providing assistance in subsidized housing, child care assistance, social services, and life skills. The organization will assist these single-parents by providing them with subsidized housing vouchers (not exceeding $400 a month) and child care vouchers (not exceeding $100 a week) while they are attending an accredited college. (For each year enrolled in school, up to four years as long as the individual maintains a "B" grade point average). The vouchers will be directly paid to the apartment leasing offices and direct child care providers on behalf of the program participants.
