Kitten Duo

We are looking for cat-loving volunteers to spend quality time with our rescued cats at the Petco location on the UPPER EAST SIDE (Lexington Ave near E. 86th St).

There are two cat care shifts every day. Volunteers at Petco feed the cats, clean cages & litter boxes, play with the cats, and note any health or behavioral concerns in the cats' daily log. This volunteer work does require some physical labor. Morning shift begins around 8-9am, but there is some flexibility. Evening shift begins around 6-630pm (it can not begin earlier).

Volunteers generally commit to the same shift each week of approximately 1-1.5 hours. Volunteers are assigned a shift based on availability and commit to a schedule. Volunteers generally work with a partner. We prefer volunteers who can make a commitment of at least three months.

We urgently need volunteers for weekday morning shifts. Freelancers, college students, retirees and anyone else with morning availability encouraged to apply. People with cat care experience are preferred. We'd love to hear from you!

If you can't foster or adopt, this is a great way to make a difference in the lives of rescued cats. To learn more and to schedule an orientation, please email info@anjelliclecats.com or submit the Volunteer Match inquiry form.

Anjellicle Cats Rescue is a no-kill, all-volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are a member of the Mayor's Alliance and a New Hope Partner with the New York's Animal Care Centers (ACC). For more information, please visit www.anjelliclecats.com.

Thank you!

About Anjellicle Cats Rescue

PO Box 2084, Radio City Station, New York, NY 10101, US

Mission Statement

Anjellicle Cats Rescue is an all-volunteer registered 501c3 cat rescue committed to helping make New York a no-kill city. As one of the most active cat rescues in the 5 boroughs, ACR is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and adopting out homeless and abandoned cats, with a focus on city shelter and community animals. Many of these felines are sick, injured or dismissed as unadoptable. Through a coalition of volunteers and caregivers, each rescued cat is welcomed with kindness and medical care into a foster home to prepare it for adoption into a permanent, loving home. We believe that no animal should be ill-treated and strive toward a day when awareness, education and compassion have replaced euthanasia as a solution to companion animal overpopulation.

Description

Founded more than 20 years ago, Anjellicle Cats Rescue has been a lifeline for abandoned, stray, and neglected cats and kittens. Through a coalition of volunteers and caregivers, each rescued cat is welcomed with kindness and medical care into a foster home to prepare it for adoption into a permanent, loving home. We always enjoy meeting new volunteers, fosters and supporters who share our mission -- to rescue, care for and place New York City's homeless cats and kittens.
