Do you have a purrfect feline friend and a heart of gold? Looking for a way to brighten a senior's day and spend quality time with your cat? Become a Pet Visit volunteer at Lyngblomsten!
Here's how YOU and your CAT can make a difference:
- Bring smiles and joy to senior residents through purrs, cuddles, and playtime.
- Create lasting connections with friendly conversation and shared love for animals.
- Experience the warm feeling of giving back to your community.
Requirements:
- You: Friendly, outgoing personality.
- Your Cat:
- At least 1 year old and up-to-date on vaccinations.
- Well-behaved around people and wheelchairs.
Commitment: Flexible schedule! Just 1 visit a week can make a big difference.
Ready to get started? Contact Melanie in Volunteer Services at mjagolino@lyngblomsten.org. New volunteers will attend an orientation and complete a Dept of Human Services background study with fingerprinting (required for working with vulnerable adults).

Description
Lyngblomsten provides compassionate care to older adults through residential and community services. Volunteers of all ages are welcomed to explore over 100 unique and varied opportunities. While short-term options may be available periodically, we encourage longer-term commitments given the exceptional level of orientation, training and on-going education Lyngblomsten provides in support of its volunteers.
