Marketing Manager

A marketing manager undertakes market research, understands trends and customer preferences, creates marketing strategy and budgets, oversees the creation of marketing materials and content- including website and social media- and performs all other relevant tasks essential for increasing our audiences and supporting a great musical experience for them. The marketing manager collaborates and communicates with other members of our team to ensure a seamless experience for the audience. The marketing manager must also be familiar with ticketing platforms like EventBrite, and will be responsible for setting up and fielding all ticketing requests during concert seasons. Our marketing manager needs to ensure that our brand is consistent across platforms, and that all platforms are up-to-date and efficient. We're looking for a person who loves music; a love for Baroque music is a definite plus!

Education Outreach Coordinator

Education Outreach Coordinator: Seicento Baroque Ensemble has always had education as one of its tenets, and we have expanded that concept to support the goal of a more diverse audience, board and pool of performers. One way to help us achieve this long-term and ongoing goal, is to include regular outreach events in places with non-traditional Baroque music audiences: namely in counties, organizations and schools with a younger, more BIPOC population. Toward this end, we've created the following position. The Education Outreach Coordinator organizes and oversees school visits and programs, and other outreach events for Seicento. The EOC will also nurture and maintain strong relationships with two schools: 1- Pioneer Bilingual School in Lafayette, and a TBA school in Adams or Jefferson counties. Examples of outreach programs: a Baroque music program that offers opportunities for movement, drawing and self-expression for a neuro-diverse population; facilitating a 'flash mob' Baroque experience in a public space; a 'chautauqua' event featuring a Baroque composer or performer; a school presentation to children; or a presentation or lecture before a concert. The EOC will work with our marketing team and Artistic Director to ensure good communication and adherence to our goals. If you have a love of music, so much the better!

Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteer Coordinator: The Volunteer Coordinator maintains a database of volunteers, past and present, with their contact information and what they've volunteered to do, during what year. The VC sends out twice a year the Volunteer Hours survey, asking volunteers to tell us how many hours they've donated to SBE, and makes that information available to other board members who need it. The VC is responsible for our Front Of House activities before each concert, arranging to find the needed ushers and other volunteers for those events. When SBE has any event, including outreach events, the VC will find the volunteers necessary to staff those events. At the end of the year we ask the VC to write thank-you emails or notes to each person who has volunteered, so they know they're appreciated!

Help Seicento with short-term projects

Seicento Baroque Ensemble is based in Boulder but performs in Denver, Boulder, Adams, Jefferson and Weld counties. When concert season rolls around, and even throughout the year, we are often in need of a helping hand or brain! Volunteers can usher at concerts, organize the Front of House people for three consecutive nights, create a spreadsheet of local organizations related to our concert theme, organize and oversee an after-concert reception, etc. Do you love to sit at your computer at home and create spreadsheets? Do you prefer to work directly with people? Do you love or organize events? Do you like to research grant opportunities? Mission Statement

The group is an auditioned chamber choir which uses historically-informed performance practices and period instruments as it brings to life works by Monteverdi, Carissimi, Schütz, Purcell, Biber, Mielczewski, Scheidt, Charpentier, Vejvanovsky and other baroque composers. Seicento Baroque Ensemble’s concerts are performed with vocal soloists as well as baroque strings, violas da gamba, harpsichord, recorders, sackbuts, baroque flute and oboe, all who specialize in historic performance.

Description

With a name inspired by the Italian word Seicento which means "six hundred" and refers to the culturally rich 1600s in Italy, the Seicento Baroque Ensemble was founded in 2011 to fill a void in the Colorado choral scene by performing worthy but rarely-heard music of the early Baroque musical period.
