Animal Care Volunteers are responsible for cleaning pens, cages, stalls and pastures; feeding, exercising and providing for the general care of the animals. Animal Care Volunteers may also provide assistance with grounds maintenance ensuring the ranch facilities are safe and presentable for animals, guests and clients and may participate in community outreach programs such as farm tours and parades. The Grant Writing Volunteer will conduct in-depth research into grant applications and opportunities, compose and send letters of inquiry to prospective grant-making organizations and foundations, prepare proposals and grant applications that display excellent writing and editing skills. The Grant Writing Volunteer may also participate in community outreach programs such as farm tours and parades. The Gress Mountain Ranch needs an unpaid psychology, English, business or administrative intern to help us get all of our records organized and updated on-line. This will include calling our volunteers to request missing information, updating our on-line data file. Working with agencies with MH/MR if in psychology. In addition the intern may be creating new documents, such as a newsletter or mass mailing donation campaign letter, to send out. Spread sheets, or even direct work with the people we serve. We Need Students for the Internship to help Run Ranch Camp for the children. 3 weeks in the summer, summer day camp.

The Administrative Assistant Volunteer provides administrative and record keeping support for the daily activities of the Ranch, the Board of Directors, and various committees. The Administrative Assistant Volunteer will interact with individuals associated with the Ranch and will update donor, sponsor, client, and volunteer records; prepare reports, correspondence, event fliers, and other documents as needed. The Administrative Assistant Volunteer may also provide assistance with grounds maintenance ensuring the ranch facilities are safe and presentable for animals, guests and clients and may participate in community outreach programs such as farm tours and parades as time permit.
