Mission Statement
Green Mobility Network promotes bicycling, walking, and public transit as attractive choices for daily transportation and recreation. Our vision is a healthier, more livable Miami-Dade with safer streets for all.
Description
We encourage bicycling, running, and walking for their own sake and for the increased personal health and community livability they can foster. We have made big strides raising the visibility of bicycling and the responsiveness of local government to both bicycle and pedestrian issues. Many of our volunteers report their hours for public service credit at their schools, and some keep coming back to help even after their obligations are filled. That's true public spirit, and we salute it.

Green Mobility Network's mission is central to making our city more humane, beautiful and liveable. It's also made up of the people you would want to have as your neighbors. I'm a big fan!

This is a well organized and friendly group who are enthusiastic about promoting walking and cycling. I have met a lot of interesting people through volunteering with them.

I really enjoyed helping people learn more about greener ways to get around Miami with Green Mobility Network. I have met really great people while volunteering with GMN and also had a chance to make a difference in Miami, while having fun!

This organization focuses on a mission about which I care deeply--creating livable cities and safe streets, especially for bicyclists, runners, and pedestrians. Miami desperately needs their leadership.

Green Mobility Network offers a fine opportunity to make South Florida a more livable community. I worked with this group from its beginning in 2007 until early in 2016, when distance from my new home made my participation no longer practical. Over the years I was often amazed how much we got done by a few people speaking up or showing up at the right time and place. Volunteering here would both do good and make you feel good.
