Outside The Walls is looking for help in these areas to support At Risk Youth, Families that have lost a child/dren to street violence or incarceration & The Homeless in the Sacramento communities. We appreciate any time you can give. All OTW volunteers will need to fill out an application, attend an informal interview, and consent to background and reference checks.

Our volunteers are critical partners in helping us fulfill our mission of building healthy individuals and families in low income, under-represented, and disadvantaged communities and closing the gap on homelessness and food deprivation. Outside The Walls (OTW) is committed to helping the less fortunate citizens of Sacramento. For over 5 years, the unselfish volunteers of OTW, have provided household products and clothes for over 9000 families annually. Our amazing volunteers are committed, dedicated and diligent in responding to the needs of our community and our city. In light of this recent catastrophic epidemic in our world, the need for assistance is rapidly increasing. We need your help! Outside The Walls (OTW) Community closet and hunger relief efforts are comprised of two key components: 1) our household items and Clothes closet, which is open every Thursday to provide household items to insecure individuals in Sacramento County and surrounding areas. And 2) Our Caring Hands Homeless feed Partnership program which provides meals to the homeless monthly. Both our hunger (and shelter) relief efforts have contributed significantly to impact hunger in our Sacramento communities as follows: In 2017, our community closet distributed over 2,800 household items, in Sacramento County, providing for approximately 200 individuals weekly (800 monthly and 9,600+ annually) Since 2020, we have successfully provided an additional 680 distressed and food insecure individuals annually (a total of 2,040) Our combined efforts have provided hunger relief to 11,640 individuals, this is Why "WE NEED YOUR HELP" ! You will work on a variety of products, including websites, books, magazines, product packaging, websites, exhibitions, corporate identity etc. The goal is to get our message across. Cultivate a solid body of work Take the design "brief" to record requirements Schedule project implementation and define budget constraints Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas Amend final designs to clients comments and gain full approval Work as part of a team with copywriters, designers, stylists, executives etc Requirements Proven graphic designing experience Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc) Highly proficient in all design aspects Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines

Our 2016 mission is to rescue 40 Youth, adults and families in the Sacramento area from the revolving door of incarceration, violence, exploitation, homelessness, and crime found in their relationships, neighborhoods and home environments, our goal is to restore family values, parental confidence and strengthen family bonds. Provide Year Round Feedings, clothing for the homeless, the less fortunate & Sr. Citizens. We desire to reach, teach and disciple every person who responds to the call to CHANGE.

We are a Non-Profit Faith based organization, we strive to bring awareness to the community, parents & churches, see about Youth/Adult who are Incarcerated, find, train and activate skilled volunteers and mentors, train core volunteer mentors and match them to families to help restore parental confidence and family values, Match mentors with youth and families, Locate funding sources to increase and maintain annual finances, Collaborate and Partner with NGO’s, as well as provide a year round food pantry for the homeless and less fortunate committees.
