I originally became involved with Parkview Hospice in 1998 when my mom was a patient. I can't say enough about the entire staff-they were wonderful: caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive of my mom, my family, & I. About a year after my mom died, I became a volunteer and was a volunteer in the office for about 2 years until we moved to Colorado. A little over 2 years ago, I decided it was time to get back to volunteering for Parkview Hospice. Since then, I have visited patients, helped with maintaining volunteer records, assisted with memorial services, done mailings, stocked inpatient Hospice supplies, and entered surveys results in the computer. I really enjoy volunteering for Parkview. Everyone is helpful and appreciative. I love the camaraderie and support of all the staff-it's like my home away from home! Thank you for all you do!

I enjoy the freedom of setting up my own times, but more importantly I enjoy just talking and listening to the clients. It is very gratifying to know I am giving the caregivers an opportunity to go out to eat, shopping, etc.
