Mission Statement
Japan-U.S. Community Education and Exchange, an intercultural nonprofit organization, is dedicated to the pursuit of a global participatory society. By offering international internships and other educational programs, and by facilitating collaborative projects across national boundaries, JUCEE brings together and supports individuals and community grassroots organizations who wish to work on issues of common concern.
Description
JUCEE provides nonprofit internship opportunity exchanges and facilitates organization-to-organization collaboration between the U.S. and Japan. Japan-U.S. Nonprofit Internship Program has brought over 120 people from Japan who have interned in approximately 70 nonprofit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Nichibei Pathfinding Opportunity Program (NPOP) which places U.S. interns in local Japanese nonprofits is the only program of its kind in existence today. Fellowships Creating Partnerships Program (FCP) is designed to create organization-to-organization ties between those who engage in activities of mutual interest in the U.S. and Japan.
