Bristol Hospice of Colorado Springs

Hospice in general is a very fulfilling opportunity, but Bristol is outstanding in the way it treats its volunteers. Communication is excellent and as a volunteer I feel truly appreciated. I've volunteered for other groups (not Hospice) where this was not the case! I started volunteering at Bristol in 2018 and am continuing to serve as a Pet Visit volunteer with occasional stints volunteering in the office.

Bristol is an amazing place to volunteer for! The staff is amazing all around, from the office staff, to the social workers and nurses, they really make you feel a part of the team. The volunteer coordinator is very respectful, flexible, and her communication skills are precise. Never thought that I would be volunteering for hospice let alone be apart of a team that is so accepting and loving. They really changed the narrative about death, dying, and hospice care.

Bristol Hospice has a supportive and compassionate culture. My volunteer onboarding processes gave me all the necessary tools to feel comfortable starting my hospice volunteer journey! The volunteer coordinator is responsive, knowledgeable, and incredibly understanding of the needs of the volunteers and population served. Other members of the care team are appreciative of the volunteers which makes your time feel valued. Client visits are rewarding. When I leave a client visit and see how happy they are it makes me grateful for the work Bristol does with the community. Bristol Hospice is a great place to volunteer, and I recommend it to all!
